Eyelid reduction

Blepharoplasty, surgery to trim skin, and sometimes fat, from the eyelids, can be limited to the upper eyelids or the lower eyelids only or both the upper AND lower eyelids.  Mr Gault is happy to undertake an upper eyelid blepharoplasty under both general or local anaesthesia, but he prefers to do the lower lids under general anaesthesia only.

The following example fees currently apply for upper OR lower eyelid surgery.  The fees assume that you have not previously had surgery elsewhere which has not met expectation, that you are over 18, and that the eyelids are relatively equal in appearance currently.

Surgical fee:              from £2895 including one post-operative follow-up

Anaesthetic fee:        £325 for local anaesthesia (upper lids only)

                                    £425 for general anaesthesia

£495 for local anaesthesia with intravenous sedation (twilight)

Hospital fee:              from £550 for a local anaesthetic out-patient procedure approximately

Hospital fees are usually higher for general anaesthesia and for day case and one or more nights stay. Mr Gault operates at other hospitals, (for example, the HCA Wellington and HCA Portland Hospitals in London, but hospital fees can generally be expected to be significantly more.
