Breast Augmentation (enlargement)
Bigger breasts
Breast augmentation surgery is undertaken to enlarge the breast size. There are a number of different techniques and refinements according to your chest shape and size, the amount of breast droop and the size of breast you would like.
For some breasts which seem underfilled and droopy, augmentation only is required, other breasts may need an uplift or mastopexy in addition.
Costs of breast augmentation start at around £7,950, including surgical, follow-up, anaesthetic and hospital and implant fees.

Allergen textured implants
After the news that Allergan’s CE mark for their Biocell® textured surface implants has not been renewed, Consultant Plastic Surgeon and BAAPS member David Gault made the following statement:
"I would like to reassure patients who have undergone their breast augmentation or augmentation-mastopexy under my care that I have never used Allergen textured implants.
There is no new current scientific indication for any of my own patients to consider removing or replacing implants. Patients should continue with any follow-up arrangements currently in place.”
The Breast & Cosmetic Implant Registry
was opened on 10 October 2016. It is expected to capture the details of all breast implant procedures completed in England by both the NHS and private providers.
Provided that you sign the BCIR Participant Consent Form your details will be added to the registry by the implant provider (the hospital).
If you would like to participate, please let us know.
