Thank you for your enquiry.  I will set out below our standard information on ear lobe reduction which I hope will be of assistance in the first instance.

 

Mr Gault is able to reduce the size of the ears at the upper poles, or at the lobes or both. 

 

Ear lobe reduction surgery, which takes about one hour to 90 minutes, is normally performed under local anaesthetic as a walk-in, walk-out case. After surgery the lobes are covered with some flesh-coloured tape.  Sutures are removed at approximately seven days,  at which point the scars will look slightly red.  Treatment with Dermatix settles the redness more quickly.  There are no health implications or risks to hearing.

 

Mr Gault’s fee for reduction of both ear lobes only is £1875 including one follow-up appointment.  There is an additional £260 fee for the local anaesthetic.  The cheapest hospital at which to have the surgery is 25 Harley Street (hospital fee £795 approximately).  Although unusual, you could also have the surgery under general anaesthetic, in which case there is an additional anaesthetic fee of £495, and the hospital fee would rise to approximately £2662. 

 

Mr Gault’s fee for reduction of both ear lobes and a change of attachment of the lobes is £1995 including one follow-up appointment.  There is an additional £320 fee for the local anaesthetic.   The cheapest hospital at which to have the surgery is 25 Harley Street (hospital fee £795 approximately).  Although unusual, you could also have the surgery under general anaesthetic, in which case there is an additional anaesthetic fee of £525, and the hospital fee would rise to approximately £2690. 

 

Hospital fees do not include painkillers to take home, but you would be much better advised to buy these over-the-counter because Paracetamol from the hospital is extremely expensive.
