Mastopexy - information and prices

Mastopexy surgery is undertaken to lift the breast and to reduce the amount of droop or ptosis. The severity of ptosis is measured according to the amount of the breast tissue that hangs below the level of the crease under the breast.

Mastopexy techniques can form part of a procedure to reduce the breasts, and some mastopexy surgery may include the addition or removal of a breast implant or prosthesis, depending upon the existing breast volume and that desired.

The technique used by Mr Gault to correct drooping breasts depends on how severe the ptosis is, how large the breasts are, amongst other factors which also include age, weight and whether you are likely to breast feed or have children in the future.

Costs of mastopexy start at around £9,300, including surgical, anaesthetic and hospital fees.
